Roundtable Discussion on NBSAP Revision Processes Held

ICCA Network Nepal, in collaboration with Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN), Nepal Indigenous Women’s Forum (NIWF), and ForestAction Nepal, has organized discussion on Nepal’s ongoing National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAP) revision processes. The event was organized in Kathmandu on March 28, 2025. The title of the discussion was “Issues and Concerns of Indigenous Peoples in NBSAP: Reflecting Challenges and Opportunities of NBSAP Revision Processes”.  The participants of the event discussed on the issues, concerns, challenges and opportunities of indigenous peoples on NBSAP revision processes. This event became remarkable in terms of the start of the collective reflection among indigenous people’s network and federations on NBSAP revision processes and the development of collective understanding for constructive feedbacks to the NBSAP revision steering committee and thematic members. Participants urged for the need of the continuity of such discussions for further clarities for constructive contributions and feedbacks.
