Custodian communities and their ICCAs in Nepal are facing unprecedented stresses and threats arising from the socio-ecological and political changes. However, ICCAs are also recognized as the best hopes for the conservation of biological and cultural diversity left on different parts of the country. The ICCA Network Nepal aims to respond these threats and opportunities by actively involving in self-identification, self-documentation, self-promotion, self-strengthening, networking and policy advocacy for the appropriate recognition of ICCAs.
