Sixth National Gathering and First GA of ICCA Held

ICCA Network Nepal, in collaboration with ForestAction Nepal and ICCA Youth Network Nepal, has organized the SIXTH National Gathering of the ICCAs in Nepal on March 8 and 9, 2025, in Kathmandu. This gathering was also the FIRST General Assembly (GA) of ICCA Network Nepal. This gathering, therefore, has been celebrated as a significant milestone of the formal registration of ICCA Network Nepal. This event brought together a number of ICCAs and community leaders, including youth members from diverse regions, to share their deep-rooted connections to nature, culture, and traditional knowledge. Through discussions, knowledge sharing, and collective reflections, participants reaffirmed their commitments to safeguarding their ancestral lands, biodiversity, and cultural heritage for future generations. They also collectively developed strategies and action plans for their network and the associated volunteers.
