Mr. Bikesh represents the highly marginalized Thami indigenous community. He is one of the Indigenous youth activist and has been advocating for the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of IPs, ILO No. 169, UNDRIP (UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples), and FPIC in Nepal, which have been ratified by the Govt. of Nepal. He has worked with Indigenous Youth led Organization AIYP & YECAP at Asia level. He holds his bachelor’s degree in travel and tourism management in Nepal. working on preservation of the endangered Thami language through mother tongue based journalism. He is also a tourism entrepreneur by profession.
