Janney Kayastha is an environmental scientist and proud youth member of the Indigenous Newar community in Lalitpur. She volunteers in waste management, environmental awareness, and clean-up campaigns to protect sacred community spaces. Passionate about preserving Newar heritage, she plays traditional Baja music, transcribes historical manuscripts, and draws Mandalas in her free time. She enjoys caring for houseplants and looks forward to collaborating with community members to protect both the environment and cultural heritage.
