Karma Khando Chojha is an indigenous woman from the Karmrong community originally from Mugu district of Northwest Nepal. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Phurbhanchal University and is currently pursuing Master’s in Anthropology in Tribhuvan university. With four years of experience working in community school in indigenous communities, she has served an education advocacy and has seen the indigenous activities closely. She currently works as a team leader at the Himalayan Indigenous Society. She is passionate about the conservation of biocultural heritage, the preservation of Indigenous knowledge and skills, and the protection of traditional cultures and practices. She actively advocates for the safeguarding of nature and the environment and has also contributed to these efforts through her work as a female trekking guide.
